Frequently asked questions
What does Miles Group do?
Miles Group is a construction engineering consultancy based in Paris and Lyon, specialised in data center engineering. We take on engineering assignments from design to commissioning, with engineers specialised in electrical systems, HVAC, construction management, commissioning and BIM, managed by Miles.
Which sectors do you work in?
Energy, industry (including pharma), data centers, rail and commercial buildings. For example the elevated stations of Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express, the SNCF Bobigny-Pantin rolling-stock depot or a pharmaceutical plant.
How do you work with your clients?
Through technical assistance, owner's engineering (AMO, assistance to the project owner) or a dedicated project team. As owner's engineers, we support the project owner in coordinating stakeholders, monitoring the quality of the works and preparing commissioning.
Do you work across France?
Yes. Our offices are in Paris and Lyon, and our engineers work on sites all over France, such as the photovoltaic carports rolled out on the car parks of a major retail group in several regions.
Freelance or umbrella company (portage salarial): what is the difference?
As a freelancer, you are self-employed and invoice your services through your own company. With portage salarial, a French umbrella-company scheme, you are employed by an umbrella company while keeping the freedom of an independent. 90% of our assignments are open to both.
How does an application work?
Apply for an opening or upload your CV on the Careers page. We review your profile, then you talk with a member of the team for about twenty minutes before we offer you assignments that match your profile.
